The Tournament was base on Italian Radelli Period rules
- Linear Piste
- Supplied Sabres used by all participants – Castille Arms Sabres with light 16 mm blades. These are very light to encourage focussing on technique and also prevent injuries. This enabled lighter end protection to be worn by participants.
- Poll round 3 minutes first to 5 points. Elimination Rounds 2 X 3 minutes with 1 minute break first to 10 points
- Judges views final – no discussion. Supporting advisor to judge on opposite side.
- Pool and scoring using HEMAScorecard.com which allowed real time information to participants.
- 47 bouts in total started 9:00 am with gear check finished by 3:00 pm
Competition was undertaken with noticeably supporting and positive atmosphere. Few warnings were given – several for intensity, one for stepping outside piste, several for advancing before time.
No injuries were sustained, no behaviour warnings were given.
Participants requested the tournament to be held again in the same format. Noting that the longer elimination round matches took time and were exhausting for some and this could be reduced.
